I found a handout in my English file that is UBER cool.

Its an A-Z list of commonly-used French, Latin, German, Italian and even Yiddish expressions.

Then i came across Carpe diem. I knew that i saw and heard this word being used loads of time. And all the while i thought Carpe diem is a word related to Biology. Something to do with transport in humans. HAHAHAH. I know I'm dumb. I totally laughed at myself when i found out what it means which is: Seize the day. Totally different meanings.

Then i came across another word on the handout: Je ne sais quoi (juh nuh say kwah).

Sentence: I can't pinpoint why i find him so charming - It's a certain je ne sais quoi he posesses.

Hah. Try figuring out what it means youself. I have been trying to remember this word but i just cant , but i remembered Al dente.

I am suddenly interested in Haute couture. I don't know why. Being too excited to read the handout that i found, i read verbatim. I will be so glad if i am able to draw carte blanche.

Sigh.

Watched Formula 1 yesterday at my mum's office. And the view is so cool. The Esplanade and Court area. Everything was Awesome.Hahaha. My mum's letting me go for next year's race. YAY!!! but then later i so loner cause i will only have one ticket. Sigh. Last night's race was kind of predictable. I was hoping for Kimi to get into the top five but it didn't happen. I want Felipe Massa to come back to Ferarri. I'd rather him than Alonso.

Anyways congrats to : Lewis Hamilton

Haha. I know I'm not supposed to be here.

I really can't help it.

Watched the end of Practice session 1 and the whole of practice session 2 of Formula 1.

And 2 cars crashed if I'm not wrong.

Terrence all of a sudden called me. I cannot really hear what he was saying cause I only can mostly hear the roaring of the engines when the car passes by. Rather awesome to hear it live.

Too bad i can't get the tickets. Because of exams. Damn you, exams.

Anyways, on the race day, I'll be going to my mum's office near Suntec to watch the race from there.LoL. So cheapo, i know. But at least its better than nothing.

I'm guessing that either 1 of the Brawn drivers will get the pole position today.

After all, all the drivers will stand a chance to get it today.

So saddening that F. Massa is not in the race. It will be even more awesome if he is in.

I'll still be supporting Ferrari and Brawn!!! YEAHHHHHHHHH...

The qualifying round is starting around 10 and will end probably around 11.15pm

and guess what i have to wake up at 2am to send my father to the airport. He's flying to Portland, Oregon again.

To NICOLE: How do you know if i was acting or not? haha. You're jumping to conclusions without much evidence. You don't even know it...

I was so wrong. I have the craving to blog today. Guess what i wanted to blog about but, in the end decided not to. I wanted to blog about OBS. I know its a super strange time to blog about the full story now. Maybe i should wait for october 16th to blog about it. Then it will be 2 months since i went for OBS. It shall test my memory. I shall challenge myself.

I seriously can't concentrate studying geography plus doing the homework: Qn 4 of Sec 4 Express 2008 Prelim paper. Developments in Food Production. The genetically modified foods and what nots. Probably because now is not the right time to study the subject. I shall keep re-reading the chapters tested for EOYs. Now is a nice time to practice Math. Math today = Arc length + Radian. Math CA4 on Friday = Trigonometric Ratios + Angle of elevation and depression. I can do it. I know i can.

Great...I just remembered that i have to research on the Jim Crow Laws for Literature.

The Jim Crow laws were state and local laws in the United States enacted between 1876 and 1965. They mandated de jure segregation in all public facilities, with a supposedly "separate but equal" status for black Americans. In reality, this led to treatment and accommodations that were usually inferior to those provided for white Americans, systematizing a number of economic, educational and social disadvantages.

Darn it i NEED TO STUDY GEOGRAPHY!!!

Its a NEED not a WANT. My mind some how does not agree with me. Lets see what i can recall...

Rivers: Upper,middle, lower course
Energy of River: gradient, roughness & wetted perimeter.
Volume of river: Size of drainage basin, Presence of vegetation, climate and permeability of rock.
River Processes: Corrasion, Attrition, Saltation, Solution, Traction, Saltation, Solution & Suspension.
Landforms: Waterfalls, Meanders, Levees, Floodplains, Gorges, Valleys & Deltas.
Management: Re-alignment, Re-sectioning, Bank Protection & Planting Vegetation.

YES. Sense of satisfaction for the topic of rivers. Seriously a lot of stuffs. OMG, calculation of Moles for Chem. OMG, i was half awake when the teacher taught that. I tried all sorts of ways to keep myself fully awake okay... Now, i don't really know how to do it. Shoots. And Chem CA 4 is next Tuesday. Metals and Mole Calculation. OMG must memorize formulas some more.

Sigh. Lets do it.

And off i go to force myself to study geography.

This will probably be my last post before the exams start.

And i finally got my belated birthday present from Nicole. V and Preeti. Wanna see?

Well, here it is:

I have no idea why they gave me the Lightstick, which reminds me of the OBS night walk and the toy aeroplane. Speaking of OBS, Zakiah is going for the camp in Nov. It will probably be same course.SO NOT FAIR. I wanna go again. TECHNICALLY, ITS FAIR. I had my chance in August and now's her chance. But i wanna do everything all over again. Sigh. I wish i had a time machine so that i can rewind time. I really wonder what would happen. Hmmm........

Then i can like redo all the tests and get an even better mark. Like as if it would happen, quit being on imagination land, Sofiah, come back to reality.

In reality, i run my own show entitled ___________ (fill in the blanks). Only that i cant predict what will happen next. But i have to reherse a lot before i start my show in 15 days time. I'm just keeping it real. Biology today was about Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema, Atherosclerosis and Lung Cancer. Diseases. Damn you, Respiration. Aerobic and Anaerobic. Damn you, ventricular systole and diastole. LOL. I shall start doing the mind maps for social studies.

I am trying to be serious here. Very serious. Well, maybe not that serious.

Being interrogated by 2 people at once is very ________.

Everyone has a secret that Everyone does not know about. Its just between yourself and no one else :) and I don't mean to sound to mean. But i cant help it. Maybe, i was just acting as if its a joke. Confused now??? yeah, you better be. I'm not telling until i feel like telling :) Haha. Wait long long. In the mean time, i'll just say i don't know.

Australian Math Competition results are out and i didn't expect myself to well for it. I only got to the proficiency level. Kinda knew it. BTW, congrats to the 3 girls who got distinctions. Speaking about math, there are like 12 chapters for EOYs. Travel graphs and Trigonometry is so not my thing. Sigh. Well, what to do? I have no choice but to get at least an A. I managed to do it in the beginning of the year, and i shall try to achieve it again. For Biology, i'm ALWAYS hanging on a thread. A-L-W-A-Y-S. I just have to change the A-L-W-A-Y-S to R-A-R-E-L-Y. But, i don't know if i can do it. Same goes to Geography. Finally, the original teacher's back after 1 whole term of relief teachers.

This term will pass at the speed of light. Everything will just come and go, so there's no more time for fun stuffs. Oh man. Why does it have to be like that? Its such a rush. 16 days till i sit for the first paper.

This is so ________. (feeling of frustration). Nevermind, i shall calm down.

But anyways, HONOR SOCIETY's Fashionably Late should be released in the States today!!!

Sam, you have to lend me the album and don't forget the other Aeropostale stuffs :) I can't wait.

My blog is so dead.

But my twitter is updated everyday.

and My hands are getting rough and the skin on my fingers are peeling. This is so not good :(

The reason is obviously, NOT ENOUGH H2O. Like DUH! I'm fasting.

Dear hands, i'll do something about it after fasting month is over :)

The best news during the holidays: I got 87/100 for ARABIC Mid-Years!!! Highest among all my other 5 subjects. I usually either fail or just passed. I even had ZERO before in p4 i think.

And and and,

Guess what!??!!?? When fasting month's over, its CCA stand down. OMG this is So GOOD.

Yup, I got bored after making the coaster designs, so i did this. Its called: 60% Unlike Me.

Its also called doing-something-productive-instead-of-wasting-time. HAHAH.LOL.

And and and, i nearly forgot to mention.......

BIOLOGY IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I am going insane. I'm serious.

Especially for 1.Transport in Humans, 2.Respiration.

THE HEART & THE CARDIAC CYCLE, omg. Its like rock hard. I spend at least 2.5 days studying just on the topic. The studying has just been an epic failure.

"Heart, Why must you be so hard to understand?"

Plus, there's only 17 MORE DAYS till the ENGLISH PAPER.
